Our history of building community dates back to the 1870s. We support nonprofit organizations dedicated to strengthening our community too. It’s why we created this award-winning program that encourages neighbors helping neighbors. Local nonprofits get funds for important programs and individuals get to support local organizations.

Nonprofit Organizations

To be eligible, you must be a nonprofit with 501(c) IRS status maintaining an address within Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex or Hudson counties in New Jersey. Once your group is enrolled with their Blue Foundry checking or savings account and has a minimum of 20 supporters, we’ll make quarterly donations to your nonprofit based on a percentage of the average daily balances of your supporters’ designated new or existing deposit accounts. Your rewards grow as the number of your supporters, their accounts and account balances grow. Supporters may be members of your organization, or simply members of the community, who wish to help benefit your organization by their participation in this program.

Nonprofit Supporters

The Community Alliance Program offers customers a cost-free way to give back to their favorite regional nonprofits by holding an account at Blue Foundry Bank®. Individuals and businesses can elect to designate as many accounts as they wish to the enrolled organizations. This program is completely confidential, all donations come directly from the Bank and no associated fees are charged to customers or the nonprofit organizations.

To be eligible for the Community Alliance Program, Applicant may not be a government unit as defined under the Governmental Unit Deposit Protection Act (“GUDPA”), a supplemental insurance program established by the State of New Jersey to protect the deposits of municipalities and local government agencies. Accounts constituting GUDPA accounts cannot be designated as supporter accounts.

Donations will be capped at $40,000 in the aggregate per organization, per year.
