Summary: The principal role of the Business Development Banker is meeting with prospects, developing strong relationships in their respected marketplace, and closing business. It’s essential that the Business Development Banker build their book of business by networking with Centers of Influence as well as local businesses, and high net worth Blue Foundry Bank customers or prospects, to assist them in maximizing their deposit portfolio. Once an opportunity is won, the Business Development Banker will continue to retain the client within the banker’s book of business with a focus on and deepening the relationship.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum of a four-year college degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years related experience
Minimum 3 – 5 years of proven banking experience in sales, marketing and business development.
Well developed negotiation and account management skills
Versatile, flexible and able to travel for meetings and training as required
Self-motivated and confident with the ability to multi task
Strong Center of Influence (COI) network – required
Experience in analyzing financial statements - required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong prospecting and sales skills
Well-developed negotiation and account management skills
Excellent consultative sales skills
