Summary:
The Senior Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal support to Blue Foundry Bancorp, its subsidiaries, and affiliated entities, including Blue Foundry Bank (collectively referred to as the Organization). This role ensures the Organization's compliance with regulations and internal policies, supports various internal business lines and support functions, and performs additional legal duties as required.
This role requires a keen understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting financial institutions, exceptional advisory skills, and the ability to provide proactive and practical legal solutions to support the Organization’s strategic goals and operational needs.
Minimum/Essential Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
Paralegal Certification preferred
Minimum seven (7) years of paralegal experience. In lieu of education and certification requirements, ten (10) years paralegal experience in the following practice areas required:
corporate governance for a publicly traded company
contracts
compliance
work experience in the financial services industry a plus
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (365) Suite (i.e. Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and prioritizing projects and assignments to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals or groups
Ability to exercise independent judgment, and discretion, appropriately handling confidential material, and interacting effectively with all levels of personnel, members, clients and vendors
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
