Treasury Operations Specialist

Summary:

The Treasury Operations Specialist is responsible for managing daily treasury operations, including cash and collateral management, funding, and liquidity analysis. This role involves monitoring collateral accounts, processing wire transfers, maintaining investments and borrowings, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The Treasury Operations Specialist will analyze and prepare monthly investment and borrowing entries, support asset and liability data reporting, and assist in quarterly asset/liability analysis.

Additionally, the role requires developing analytics and reports for senior management, optimizing treasury-related technology, and ensuring strong internal controls. You will also participate in Treasury Committees, collaborate with other departments to support treasury functions, and assist with audits, system implementations, and process improvements.

Minimum/Essential Job Requirements: 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage daily treasury activities including cash and collateral management, and funding and liquidity analysis.

  • Monitor collateral account, preparing wire transfers and general ledger entries as needed.

  • Maintain investments and borrowings, including setup and maintenance

  • Analyze and prepare monthly investment and borrowing entries, including recording purchases, payments, accretion, amortization, and interest accruals in the general ledger

  • Provide asset and liability data for preparation of the Banks quarterly asset/liability analysis to include: data on loan and deposit accounts and rates, investments, borrowings and general ledger

  • Develop and prepare analytics and synthesize information into reports for senior management

  • Support the adoption and optimization of appropriate technology across the Finance organization to drive efficiency, accuracy, while minimizing manual processes

  • Document and maintain proper procedures to ensure proper controls exist surrounding tasks, including the quality and integrity of the reports produced for senior management, borrowing and investment activities and entries.

  • Attend Treasury Committees, preparing minutes as needed.

  • Work with other departments to support treasury-related needs across the Bank.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in the implementation of automated software systems

  • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries

  • Training to promote individual proficiency as needed

  • Backup Finance and Accounting staff as needed
