VP/Controller

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Summary: Reporting to the CFO, and working closely with the Treasurer, Director of FP&A, and a team of analysts and accountants, the Controller is responsible for managing a multi-faceted accounting department ensuring that the Bank’s accounting and financial reporting are accurate and timely and that internal controls are maintained.  The Controller is responsible for managing all accounting activities including the accurate management of the Bank’s general ledger, GAAP, monthly/quarterly/year-end closings, and financial and regulatory reporting. 

Minimum Job Requirements:

•     Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)

•    Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA)

•    10+ years’ experience in accounting or finance field

•    Regulatory reporting experience highly valued

•    Fluency with Prologue and Workiva or willingness to scale quickly

•    Excellent knowledge of financial institutions policies and procedures.

•    Command of Bank GAAP and regulatory accounting principles including preparation and review of financial statements and call reports

•    Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and various other PC based software programs

•    Exceptional communication, organizational, inter-personal and time-management skills

•    Results-oriented strategic thinker
